Bad Mom moment...
So we taught Kota sign language and he does so good. Tonight I fed him dinner then he snacked til bed and then he had his normal bottle before bed. We put him down for bed. Then he cried and cried. I waited for like 20 min then he started to get really mad. I go and check on him and talk to him and he starts signing eat. I'm like "no you have to go to bed." I put him back to bed and he cries so I let him sit on our bed with Aaron and he starts to sign eat again. I still thought you have to be kidding me. So back to bed he goes and then the crying starts again. About 10 min and I go in there and pick him up we start to rock and what does he do... he signs eat. So I decided lets feed him but I'll be so mad if he doesn't eat. We make him some oatmeal and he eats the whole bowl. So now he's in bed sleeping and didn't cry at all. Lesson learned.

Kota's 1st Birthday!!!
I still can't believe that I have a 1 year old. It's weird. So for his big day we actually had to celebrate it a little early due to Harvest and I figured it would be important for his dad to be at his party so we had it on Sunday the 23rd instead of the 26th. I decided to do pirate theme and I actually had a whole pirate outfit for him but ran out of time to get him ready and I figured he wouldn't keep the extra stuff on anyways so what's the point cause then he'd just be wearing striped pants. It was so fun planning and making the stuff for the party though. I can't wait to plan the next one. Especially because I should be able to get him to play games and stuff. Well sorry it took so long to do and update but here you go.
These are the cutest cookies, if i say so myself. I had to wait and frost them after Kota went to bed because he was the biggest pain the day I made the sugar cookies but I even got Aaron to frost some but he thought I was crazy for wanting to make them.
So here's that treasure. I had this whole idea of making the food table look like a treasure map and placing the cake and the end but of course it was raining and we had to move it into the house were there was not enough room but what to you do. The cake was pretty easy and the other kids loved it.
Kota loved all his new toys and Aaron had to not only help him open the gifts but had to take each one out of the box and let him play with each on along the way. Kota could care less he would look and the new toy then just go get his old toys while the other kids tried out the new ones.
I think he did eat a little cake but most was all over the floor and the balloon that he played with in the middle and then of course himself.

It's almost over...
I can't believe that the summer is almost over and that school starts this week in Rigby. Aaron is in harvest and almost half way done...Thank goodness because me and Kota are ready for him to be home. Kota turns the big 1 in a week from tomorrow. Where did the year go. Well I really plan on getting some new pictures posted next time and within the couple of weeks.

To: Aunt Koko...
Kota loves his bath. He is just so dang cute.
This was Kota in his first official summer outfit. It as finally warm enough that he cold wear shorts. We tried to get him to wear the hat but it was a no go. (Thank you Ashley for the cute outfit)

This is for Kiyoko since she is spending the summer away from us. Kota now is into everything. I spend all day moving him around trying to keep him out of stuff. Pretty much I'm not getting anything that I need to done.

8 month picture
I know I can't believe he is 8 months old. He has almost been here as long has he was baking.
Here is his picture in his 12 month onesie. The picture is blurry but I still love it, but you can't help it he is just to dang cute.
If you can't tell from the picture above he is pretty close to crawling. He just hasn't figured out how to move his knees. He wants to leap and that usually ends up with his face in the carpet.
Kota got him self stuck under our bed it was so funny because he keep trying to roll again but couldn't get it to happen. He was kicking and grunting trying his hardest to get out but I finally had to pull him out.

It's about time...
to catch up. Here is our new purchase. The tandem bike took me a lot of coxing to get Aaron to agree but now he loves the thing. It is so much fun. Kota loves his trailer.
I just really like this picture we were waiting for Aaron so we could give him his lunch.

Tag (for Karen)
So Karen (my sister-in-law) tagged us awhile ago to post our 6th picture in our 6th folder in our pictures and I wanted to do it but never got to it so better late than never. I also tag anyone else that would like to join in.
So this picture is from our family reunion in 2007. They always make each family gather and take pictures. This isn't the Tateshi Miyasaki family which we would be in but it is the Fusako & Takeno Sakaguchi family which has a pretty funny story. We were there and Aaron is like I swear that guy is from the Ultimate Fighter (Aaron loves the UFC) anyways I was like whatever there is no way that it is him. Seriously we are in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Well Aaron is like I have to go ask. As it turns out it was him He married one of my cousins in 2006. Aaron was like a little school kid that just got told he was going to Disney World. I'll post the picture of Aaron and Brandon Melendez. You can see the excitment in Aaron's face.

Time to catch up....
He is so cute. This is Kota in is 12 month onesie. It is actually still a little big on him but not much. I still can't believe that it has been over 6 months. The time is going by so fast. It doesn't seem like it has been that long ago since I was hanging over the toilet still trying to comprehend that I really was going to have a baby. Now I have this goofy little guy that I get to hand out with every day.
Here is what Aaron has been up to lately. His Electric snowmobile with Stewart's batteries. It is so fun to ride. He still have a few things to finish up on it but it is pretty cool. Aaron seems to amaze me all the time with the things he can do when it comes to mechanics. So if you are ever near here come on over and check it out.
We don't get out with the baby very much cause it has been so cold but every now and then we bundle him up and out we go cause it has been some long days inside. The snow as been melting and I hope that it keeps melting and keeps getting warmer and warmer. I'm so ready to get out and play out on our yard.

Okay so it's been a really long week. The batteries in my camera died and I haven't made it to buy new ones. I could use just regular AA but then they die after 2 pictures. So no pictures today.
Then Kota got really sick on Thursday and he is getting 2 teeth so he has been very unhappy. Then I got sick. So we are hopefully on our way to recovery but that means Aaron will most likely be sick when I feel better and you know how men are when they are sick. So I'm hoping next week I can get something more exciting posted.

If only sleeping was this easy...
It always amazes me how easily and no matter what is going on Kota can go to sleep. Even in the most bizarre positions, the other day he was just watching his video and the next time I looked at him he was out. That was only about 3 minuets into his Baby Einstein video. Then I finished nursing him and he was awake when he got finished but when I looked back to burp him he was out. And I love the picture at the end. My mom and I left to the store and left him with grandpa and when we came back they were both out. Either grandpa Miyasaki is really good at putting him to sleep or he is really boring. Either way I'm still trying to figure out how come every time he spends time with him I usually find them both asleep somewhere.

Green Canyon
We went to Green Canyon for a ward party. It was fun other than the pool itself was as hot as a hot tub. It was seriously warmer than Kota's hot tub. I think Kota was trying to figure out why his bath was this weird blue thing and why there were so many people but he just leaned back and chilled. At one point we took him out of his car just to cool him off a little. Then when we put him back in we left his feet out and he used them to play with the steering wheel. We didn't stay in the pool long because I was starting to sweat and I was sure that if it was bothering me then it had to be getting to warm for Kota. I think that we will go swimming again but I hope that it isn't as hot the next time.

Las Vegas
We decided to get away for the New Year. My family (The Miyasaki side) was having new years in Las Vegas and we decided to join in. So Kota got to go on his 1st airplane ride. It was so great cause we got to fly right out of Idaho Falls.
Kota did so great. When the plane started it did startle him a little, but other than that he just played the whole way there.
Everyone (well almost everyone) dressed up 70's style. We went shopping that day to find our outfits. We usually aren't one's that enjoy dressing up but I have to admit that it was pretty fun and I would definitely do it again.
Aaron (Carlos) and Miyeko
John, Noriko, Ethan, & Dane
Brad & Whitney

Tate & Phoebe
There were others that dressed up but we didn't get their pictures so sorry anyone that we didn't post.
Here is what Kota was doing at midnight.

Kota on the flight home.

Aaron, Me, & Kota
Aaron had some really nice tight pants on if you are lucky I'll get him to wear them again.

Kota 4 months old
Kota is getting harder and harder to take pictures of. This is one of my favorites. Especially with the drool. I'm pretty sure that he is going to fill out the 12 month old onesie in a couple of months.
